Riskified is seeking a Strategic Business Development Manager to join our APAC team, focusing on the Southeast Asia and Middle East North Africa markets. This role, based in Shanghai with frequent travel within Southeast Asia, involves proactive outbound prospecting and lead management to expand our customer base. As a key member of our sales team, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and establishing Riskified's presence in these regions.

In this position, you will lead the early stages of value-based sales opportunities, aiming to convert prospects into enterprise clients and reseller partners. Your responsibilities include creating and executing prospecting plans through research, calls, emails, leveraging personal networks, and following up on marketing-generated leads. Additionally, you will identify prospects' key questions and pain points, engage with multiple stakeholders within large enterprises, and manage leads until they mature to pricing negotiation and go-live preparation. Representing Riskified at industry events around Greater China and collaborating with Account Executives and Integration Engineers to advance significant deals are also integral parts of this role.

The ideal candidate possesses 10 years of professional B2B tech sales or business development experience, preferably in payments or SaaS. Fluency in English and native proficiency in Mandarin are essential, along with strong verbal and written communication skills. A growth-oriented mindset, high motivation to achieve targets, and the ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all organizational levels are crucial. This strategic, non-closing business development role offers growth opportunities within the sales organization.
