Supply Chain Operations Analyst
The Supply Chain Operations Analyst is a pivotal role within Sony Music Entertainment, focusing on the physical supply chain operations for Orchard labels. This position serves as the primary liaison between labels, Sony Music's global supply chain, and external partners, ensuring efficient product setup, inventory management, and issue resolution. The role is based in New York, New York, and follows a hybrid work schedule.
Key responsibilities include managing end-to-end physical supply chain operations, overseeing product setup, purchasing, and inventory oversight. The analyst will handle Orchard-specific workflows such as cash orders, returns to vendors, SKU and UPC accuracy, and purchase order confirmations. Collaboration with manufacturing vendors and distribution centers is essential to resolve setup issues, validate open orders, and address discrepancies. Additionally, the role involves monitoring inventory health, supporting planning decisions, and driving continuous improvement by streamlining workflows and reducing manual efforts.
Candidates should possess 3–5 years of hands-on experience in supply chain, operations, or physical distribution within a fast-paced, multi-partner environment. Strong operational and analytical skills are required, with proficiency in managing complex workflows, multiple systems, and detailed data analysis, particularly using Excel. Effective communication skills are essential to build trust across labels, vendors, and internal teams, especially when handling issues and escalations. A proactive problem-solving attitude is crucial for improving processes and enhancing operational efficiency.
