This position serves as a direct liaison between key buyer and seller stakeholders, ensuring compliance with tax matters outlined in merger and purchase agreements. Key responsibilities include facilitating the review of corporate pre-closing income tax returns by tax professionals and managing the remittance of corporate pre-closing tax refunds to selling holders. The role involves direct communication with buyer and seller parties, as well as coordination with outside legal counsel and tax advisors. Additionally, the Project Manager tracks the status of numerous simultaneous M&A transactions concerning tax obligations, coordinates escrow fund releases, and maintains meticulous records of deal milestones and documentation.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience, with 2-5 years of related work experience, preferably in the financial services or M&A industry. The role demands exceptional attention to detail, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently. Proficiency with email and online information platforms is essential, along with excellent research and critical thinking abilities.
The position offers a salary range between $65,000 and $75,000, depending on experience level.
