Tax Manager

Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman, a division of Focus Financial Partners, is seeking a Tax Manager to join their team in Century City, CA. This role involves overseeing all financial and tax aspects related to assigned client accounts, contributing to the firm's commitment to delivering personalized financial services.

The Tax Manager will supervise and train assigned staff accountants and account managers, ensuring the preparation and review of complex, multi-state tax returns across various entities, including individuals, S corporations, C corporations, partnerships, estates, and trusts. Responsibilities also encompass staying updated on evolving state and federal tax laws, conducting tax research, and managing client communications to provide comprehensive financial reports and analyses.

Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree with at least four years of experience in a similar role; a master's degree or CPA certification with six or more years of experience is highly preferred. Proficiency with tax software such as GoSystems, CCH Axcess, or SurePrep is required, along with a strong understanding of auditing standards and regulations. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential to build and maintain trusting relationships with both staff and clients.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $135,000 to $175,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Additional compensation may include an annual bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
