Tax Manager

Focus Financial Partners is seeking a Tax Manager to join their Tax Advisory team. This role is pivotal in managing daily tax activities and ensuring the firm's tax objectives are met. The Tax Manager will be responsible for tax planning and preparation for high-net-worth individuals and their related entities, including extensions. Key duties include ensuring compliance with federal and state filing requirements, conducting technical research on complex tax issues, analyzing client information to recommend strategies for reducing tax liabilities, and collaborating with advisors to deliver top-quality client service. Additionally, the role involves educating both clients and staff on relevant tax developments and assisting in the training of tax preparation personnel.

Candidates should possess a CPA, EA, or JD with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, focusing on preparing individual and fiduciary tax returns for high-net-worth clients. Strong written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential. Experience with ProSystem fx® Tax, CCH Axcess, and BNA Income Tax™ Planner is preferred, along with a background in a "Big Four" or large regional accounting firm.

The position offers an annualized base salary range between $110,000 and $130,000, with actual compensation dependent on factors such as experience and geographic location.
