Team Lead - Risk & Periodic Reviews EMEA
Adyen is seeking a Team Lead for Risk & Periodic Reviews in the EMEA region. This role involves leading a team responsible for conducting comprehensive periodic assessments of global merchants to ensure compliance with regulations and internal risk thresholds. The position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Compliance, Product, Commercial, and Regional Operations, to proactively identify emerging risks and align initiatives with the company's commercial strategy.
Key responsibilities include leading a team of analysts to perform periodic risk reviews, fostering a data-driven culture, and ensuring timely completion of assessments. The role also involves engaging with stakeholders to develop and implement innovative solutions, staying abreast of regulatory changes to establish robust controls, and driving results by monitoring team performance and presenting outcomes to leadership. Additionally, the position requires global collaboration to maintain consistency in review processes and partnering with the CDD team to execute departmental goals.
The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in a risk or compliance role, including at least one year of team management. A strong understanding of KYC, AML, and CDD/EDD processes is essential. The candidate should possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, be innovative in defining scalable processes, and demonstrate attention to detail. Initiative, ownership, and the ability to challenge the status quo effectively are important, along with strong decision-making capabilities and adaptability to changing environments.
