Trading Operations Specialist
Eqvilent is seeking a Trading Operations Specialist to support its algorithmic trading activities. This hands-on role focuses on ensuring smooth, reliable, and safe trading operations through meticulous execution of operational checks, real-time monitoring, and prompt escalation of issues. The position is ideal for detail-oriented and disciplined individuals motivated to work in a regulated algorithmic trading environment.
Key responsibilities include capacity planning, executing pre- and post-session checks to confirm system readiness, monitoring intrasession invariants such as positions, connectivity, latency, market data consistency, and error rates, and promptly escalating deviations. The specialist will also follow escalation procedures to involve the appropriate personnel when anomalies arise, contribute to continuous improvement of anomaly detection quality, incident reaction times, and communication efficiency, maintain accurate operational records and logs for auditability and learning, and work in a shift-based schedule covering European trading hours to ensure reliable market coverage.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. A minimum of three years' experience in trading operations, trade support, or market surveillance is required, with experience in algorithmic or electronic trading considered a plus. A solid understanding of financial markets and trading systems, high attention to detail, ability to remain calm under pressure, comfort in following structured procedures while identifying areas for improvement, and clear communication skills in English are essential.
