Treasury Analyst
As a Treasury Analyst at Canonical, you will play a pivotal role within the Finance team, ensuring the company's global liquidity and cash movements are managed in alignment with our Treasury Policy. This position involves overseeing international intercompany funding, multi-currency transactions, and foreign exchange strategies, all while mitigating financial risks associated with our worldwide operations. Canonical is a leading provider of open-source software and operating systems, with Ubuntu being widely utilized in sectors such as public cloud, data science, AI, engineering innovation, and IoT. Our customers include top public cloud and silicon providers, as well as industry leaders across various sectors.
In this role, your key responsibilities will include maintaining controls over group cash, banking, and investment activities to ensure strong governance and policy compliance. You will execute and monitor treasury operations, such as funding movements, payments, and account activities. Additionally, you will monitor liquidity and working capital needs, optimizing cash utilization while maintaining necessary buffers. Supporting the company's foreign exchange risk strategy by monitoring exposures and executing approved FX activities is also a critical aspect of this position.
The ideal candidate will possess the highest ethical standards, integrity, and credibility. Experience in managing funds across 20 or more currencies and multiple corporate entities is essential. A Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or equivalent certification in Treasury or Analysis is required. Proficiency in spreadsheets and financial modeling, along with experience using enterprise-level financial management software such as NetSuite, is also necessary. Exceptional financial and mathematical abilities, coupled with excellent communication and presentation skills, are key qualifications for this role.
