UCI Career Fair - Summer 2026 Internship
Viant Technology is offering a Summer 2026 internship program at their Irvine, California headquarters, specifically targeting motivated students from the University of California, Irvine. Interns will be fully embedded within teams that align with their interests and skill sets, contributing to the development of software features and services. Responsibilities include assisting in designing, implementing, testing, and documenting code under the guidance of senior engineers. Additionally, interns will participate in code reviews, team standups, sprint planning, and technical discussions, while also debugging and troubleshooting issues across applications, services, or data workflows.
Candidates should be currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. A strong understanding of core programming concepts and data structures is essential, along with experience in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, Go, C++, or JavaScript. Familiarity with software development tools like Git, IDEs, and debugging tools is also important. Exposure to backend systems, distributed systems, or data engineering concepts, as well as experience with SQL, APIs, cloud platforms (GCP or AWS), or containerization tools, will be advantageous.
The internship offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $40 to $50, with final compensation based on factors including work experience and education.
