Vice President Product, Design
The Vice President of Product Design at Verra Mobility will lead and expand a multidisciplinary team encompassing Product Design, Research, Content Design, and Design Operations. This executive role is pivotal in shaping the experience strategy across Verra's connected-mobility portfolio, translating complex customer and business needs into clear, human-centered product experiences that drive adoption, trust, and measurable outcomes. The position is central to Verra Mobility's transition toward a modern Product Operating Model, empowering cross-functional product teams to continuously discover, experiment, and deliver solutions that address real customer problems.
Key responsibilities include building and scaling a high-performing design organization with a clear organizational model, career paths, and succession planning. The role involves creating a strategic hiring plan, managing budgets, and establishing vendor strategies for specialized needs. The Vice President will foster a culture of craft excellence, curiosity, and accountability, embedding design and research directly within durable product teams and coaching leaders to operate with high autonomy and accountability.
The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in Product/UX Design, with at least 5 years leading and scaling design teams. A bachelor's degree in Design, Business, or a related field is required, with an advanced degree preferred. The candidate should have a proven track record in building design practices in B2B SaaS and/or IoT/platform environments, particularly in highly regulated industries. Demonstrated success in design systems ownership, UX research leadership, and evidence-based decision-making is essential. A portfolio showcasing shipped platform products that simplify complex domains and have a measurable impact on trust, usability, and adoption is also required.
