Metropolis is seeking a Vice President of Strategic Initiatives to serve as the Chief Commercial Officer's primary operator for high-stakes, cross-functional projects that require senior judgment and decisive action. This role involves full ownership of complex initiatives such as large-scale portfolio onboardings and enterprise-level system implementations, leveraging deep domain expertise to drive outcomes for critical projects. The position requires navigating ambiguity within the parking and real estate landscape, leading diverse stakeholders across Finance, Product, and Operations, and utilizing AI-driven approaches to enhance impact and compress project timelines.

Key responsibilities include end-to-end project management for strategic initiatives from scoping through performance review, serving as the accountable on-site leader for complex parking builds and launches, leading cross-functional alignment to secure multi-department buy-in, developing project charters and accountability structures, partnering with Central Operations to oversee major property onboardings, managing project infrastructure for large-scale portfolio onboardings, driving customer reporting improvement initiatives, acting as the CCO's proxy on workstreams requiring senior presence, maintaining the Operations OKR framework, and proactively scoping new initiatives before they become urgent.

The ideal candidate will have over 12 years of progressive experience in operations, strategy, or project management within the parking industry, extensive experience with large installations, asset management, and field-level leadership, a demonstrated track record of managing complex, cross-functional projects from initiation through delivery, effective communication skills with cross-functional stakeholders, a high accountability orientation focusing on outcomes, a bachelor's degree, proficiency in using AI tools to synthesize information and automate reporting workflows, and the ability to pilot and validate new AI tools to improve project outcomes and team efficiency.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $225,000 to $260,000 annually. The actual base salary offered is determined by various factors, including the applicant's qualifications, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education, certifications, and the location of residence and/or place of employment. Base salary is one component of Metropolis' total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a stock option plan, bonus plans, and more.
