Vice President, Strategic Initiatives
Metropolis is seeking a Vice President of Strategic Initiatives to serve as the Chief Commercial Officer’s primary operator for high-stakes, cross-functional projects that require senior judgment and decisive action. This role involves full ownership of complex initiatives such as large-scale portfolio onboardings and enterprise-level system implementations, leveraging deep domain expertise to navigate the parking and real estate landscape effectively. The position is based in Washington, District of Columbia, United States.
Key responsibilities include end-to-end project management for strategic initiatives, serving as the accountable on-site leader for complex parking builds and launches, leading cross-functional alignment across Finance, Product, Operations, and Commercial stakeholders, and developing project charters and milestone frameworks. The role also involves partnering with Central Operations to oversee major property onboardings, managing project infrastructure for large-scale portfolio onboardings, driving customer reporting improvement initiatives, and maintaining the Operations OKR framework to ensure alignment with field-level performance.
The ideal candidate will have over 12 years of progressive experience in operations, strategy, or project management within the parking industry, extensive experience with large installations, asset management, and field-level leadership, and a demonstrated track record of managing complex, cross-functional projects from initiation through delivery. Strong communication skills with cross-functional stakeholders, a high accountability orientation focusing on owning outcomes, and a bachelor's degree are required. Proficiency in using AI tools to synthesize information, draft communications, and summarize data is also essential.
The anticipated base salary for this position is between $225,000.00 and $260,000.00 annually.
