VP & Assistant General Counsel, Product (Remote)

The Vice President & Assistant General Counsel, Product at ezCater will lead the legal strategy for the company's technology-driven product suite. This role involves close collaboration with the Product, Engineering, and Design teams to ensure that product development aligns with legal standards and business objectives. The position reports directly to the Chief Legal and People Officer.

Key responsibilities include providing legal counsel throughout the product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and beyond. The role requires managing in-product disclosures, terms of use, and customer communications to mitigate risk while maintaining a high-quality user experience. Additionally, the individual will develop and implement legal approval processes for new product features and oversee data governance policies, including privacy and security standards.

The ideal candidate will possess a Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school and have substantial experience in product counseling within a technology-driven environment. Strong knowledge of data privacy laws, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance is essential. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams are also required.
