VP, Global D2C Supply Chain
The Vice President, Global Supply Chain & Customer Service at Sony Music Entertainment leads the design and execution of the company's global direct-to-consumer (D2C) supply chain strategy. This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence across customer service functions, ensuring world-class experiences for fans and clients worldwide. The position is based in New York, NY, within Sony Music's D2C business unit, which focuses on innovative artist-to-fan commerce.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand Sony Music's requirements and overseeing the design and implementation of the global D2C supply chain. This encompasses manufacturing, warehousing, fulfillment, logistics, systems integration (ERP, WMS, OMS, Shopify, NetSuite), and operational reporting. The role also involves evaluating and onboarding global manufacturing and fulfillment partners, negotiating contracts, and defining KPIs to ensure speed, quality, and cost efficiency. Additionally, the VP provides strategic direction for all customer service activities, ensuring compliance with SLAs and achievement of KPI targets.
The ideal candidate possesses over 10 years of leadership experience in global supply chain and/or customer service within high-volume D2C or e-commerce environments. Proven expertise in logistics, warehousing, vendor management, and fulfillment network optimization is essential. A strong background in ERP/WMS/OMS systems and e-commerce platform integrations, such as NetSuite and Shopify, is required. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to lead organizational change, drive operational improvements, and manage large, multi-site teams. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, along with a global mindset and willingness to travel internationally, are also necessary. A bachelor's degree in business or a related field is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
The anticipated annual base salary for this position ranges from $200,000 to $230,000.
