Canonical is seeking a Web Frontend Engineer to develop data-rich and reliable user experiences for its enterprise products. These frontends are built using JavaScript, CSS, React, and Flutter, serving as the company's interface to users. The role is globally remote, allowing collaboration with a diverse team across various time zones.

Key responsibilities include designing and implementing well-tested and documented software in web technologies or Flutter, debugging and resolving user issues, participating in code and architectural reviews, collaborating on technical specifications, contributing to technical documentation, improving engineering and operations practices, deploying and operating developed services, and advocating for technical improvements.

The ideal candidate will have an exceptional academic track record from both high school and university, an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM (or a compelling alternative path), a proven drive with a history of exceeding expectations, strong organizational and self-starting abilities, professional interaction skills, experience in designing and writing high-quality web technologies, proficiency in TypeScript, React, or Flutter, an eye for accessibility and performance, professional written and spoken English, experience with Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred), excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, accountability, passion, thoughtfulness, self-motivation, excellent communication and presentation skills, a result-oriented approach, and the ability to travel twice a year for company events lasting up to two weeks each.

Compensation is shaped by geographical location, experience, and performance, with annual reviews to recognize outstanding performance. In addition to base pay, a performance-driven annual bonus or commission is offered.
