Werfleider - Civiele Werken - Diksmuide
As a Werfleider (Site Manager) for Civil Works in Diksmuide, you will play a pivotal role within BESIX, a leading Belgian multidisciplinary group active in construction, real estate development, and concessions. Established in 1909, BESIX has experienced significant growth and operates in various regions, including Northern and Eastern Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East. The company is renowned for its in-house Engineering department, which boasts extensive expertise in geotechnics, concrete technology, methodologies, planning, and BIM and System Engineering tools.
In this role, you will report directly to the project leader. During the preparatory phase, you will be based at one of our site offices in Bruges. As the project progresses to the execution phase, you will oversee work preparation on-site and become an integral part of the daily operational team. Your responsibilities will include supporting the project team in planning, work methods, equipment selection, and logistics; contributing to the evaluation of subcontractor offers and contract formation; reviewing and adjusting working drawings from subcontractors and suppliers; assisting in project planning and monitoring the execution of partial schedules; tracking construction progress and associated cost statements; maintaining project administration; and acting as the liaison between external contacts and the on-site execution team.
The ideal candidate holds a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Civil Engineering or Architecture. Fluency in Dutch is essential, and proficiency in English is a strong advantage. You should be an innate organizer who thrives in team settings and possess strong commercial, communicative, and social skills. Excellent oral and written communication abilities, technical insight, result orientation, planning and organizational skills, and problem analysis capabilities are also required.
