Workforce Training Coordinator
The Workforce Training Coordinator at BESIX Watpac plays a pivotal role in developing and implementing programs to meet workforce training and participation targets within the Queensland Construction business. This position involves close collaboration with internal teams and external industry groups to drive training outcomes and support the company's growth trajectory.
Key responsibilities include building effective relationships with stakeholders, delivering presentations, facilitating meetings, and engaging with working groups to achieve desired training outcomes. The coordinator will also develop project-based initiatives to increase participation and retention rates of apprentices and trainees, support Queensland Government training policies, and establish programs to provide opportunities for marginalized candidates in the construction sector.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Queensland's training policies and guidelines, experience in training administration within a medium to large organization—preferably in the construction industry—and the ability to collaborate with subject matter experts and business stakeholders to create practical and engaging training programs. Excellent organizational and time-management skills are essential.
