Workplace Operations Coordinator - Temp Position
Garner Health is seeking a temporary Workplace Operations Coordinator to manage the daily operations of our New York City headquarters. This role is integral to ensuring a seamless and efficient office environment, directly contributing to the overall employee experience. The position reports to the Director of Strategy & Operations and requires full-time, in-person attendance from Monday to Friday.
Key responsibilities include serving as the primary point of contact for employee experience at the headquarters, which involves greeting new hires, managing seating arrangements, and addressing facilities-related inquiries. The coordinator will oversee daily office operations such as ordering and restocking supplies, coordinating with vendors like cleaners and contractors, arranging daily lunches, and liaising with building management for maintenance issues. Additionally, the role involves planning and executing bi-weekly team events to foster a collaborative workplace culture.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in office management, facilities, or related administrative roles. Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively are essential. A professional and service-oriented demeanor is crucial for interacting with employees, guests, and leadership. Proficiency in Google Sheets and the capability to quickly adapt and drive work forward across various teams are also required.
The position offers an hourly rate of $40. While the initial term is from May 8th through at least June 30th, there is potential for the role to transition into a permanent position based on performance and organizational needs.
