Account Executive

The Account Executive at Commvault is a field sales role focused on driving revenue growth by selling Commvault's cyber resilience solutions to a defined list of accounts, including both existing customers and high-value prospects. This position involves direct engagement with clients and prospects, either individually or through partnerships, to achieve sales targets and expand the company's market presence.

Key responsibilities include developing and implementing strategic account plans for target account expansion and new account acquisition, creating sales campaigns, coordinating company resources to meet account objectives, and managing a matrixed sales team. The Account Executive is also tasked with establishing and maintaining productive relationships with key personnel in assigned accounts, constructing and delivering business cases at the CXO level, preparing and presenting sales proposals, and negotiating and closing deals in accordance with company practices.

Candidates should have experience in identifying and building relationships, selling directly or with partners, and possess excellent communication skills, including persuasive and listening abilities. A background in IT infrastructure, security, and SaaS is preferred, along with familiarity with sales methodologies such as MEDDICC. Fluency in German is required, and prior experience selling software solutions is advantageous.
