Software Engineer - Automation
Commvault is seeking a Software Engineer specializing in automation to join their Automation team in Seoul, South Korea. This team collaborates closely with the backend team to develop and validate a cloud-scale SaaS backup platform, addressing enterprise cloud data protection needs. As a Software Engineer in this role, you will be responsible for designing and building test automation frameworks and tools, setting up infrastructure to run automated tests, and implementing automated tests, including end-to-end integration and load/stress tests. You will also drive the adoption of best practices in testing and product quality, deliver under tight deadlines using agile methodology, and collaborate with Development, Product Management, and Customer Success teams to resolve customer escalations.
The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with at least one year of industry experience in software development or test automation. Proficiency in Python or Go is essential, along with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles. Exposure to public cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and familiarity with Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes are advantageous.
