Account Executive
The Account Executive role at PitchBook Data involves closing new business opportunities within the alternative investment industry. This full-cycle sales position requires an entrepreneurial approach to prospecting and relationship-building, with leads sourced from various channels. The role demands individuals skilled at identifying opportunities, building trust with investors, and navigating complex sales cycles.
Key responsibilities include proactively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the alternative investment space, such as private credit, private equity, and venture capital markets. The Account Executive will build and maintain strong relationships with fund managers and investment professionals, conduct product demonstrations and proof-of-concept engagements, and develop deep technical product knowledge to effectively articulate Lumonic's capabilities. Collaboration with implementation, customer, and product teams is essential to ensure smooth client onboarding and ongoing platform adoption.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in economics, finance, or a related field, and at least three years of full-cycle sales experience, preferably in financial technology or alternative investments. A strong understanding of private credit, private equity, and venture markets is required, along with the ability to engage in financial discussions with investors. Proven ability to independently prospect, build relationships, and drive deals without a steady flow of inbound leads is essential. Experience leading product demonstrations and proof-of-concept engagements, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset are also important.
Compensation for this role includes an annual base salary ranging from $120,000 to $160,000, with an annual on-target variable commission of $150,000 for fully ramped representatives meeting expectations. PitchBook currently has no cap on commission, and earnings are determined by individual performance.
