The Strategic Account Management organization at Square is seeking an experienced professional to manage relationships with some of Square’s largest sellers and grow our Restaurant Strategic Accounts program. This program establishes, retains, and grows Square’s most valuable and engaged single-brand sellers.

In this role, you will work with business owners and c-level executives to find creative ways for Square’s first and third-party ecosystem to solve their complex business needs across verticals and channels. You will enable sellers to grow with Square while serving as an upmarket seller advocate to product teams.

Key responsibilities include managing a book of 250 strategic food and beverage sellers, growing account-based revenue through use-case expansion and cross-sell opportunities, and providing customized seller onboarding experiences. You will act as a consultant and partner to high-value restaurant sellers, identifying opportunities for technical Square solutions to address existing customer needs and project managing the execution of these solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Additionally, you will negotiate pricing for use-case expansion and retention, provide white-glove client service, and conduct quarterly business reviews with various stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of relevant account management experience, with a proven track record of managing, retaining, and growing a book of business. You should have consistent over-performance on key sales or customer success metrics, remarkable discovery skills with customers, and a technical solutioning framework, including the ability to conduct requirements gathering. Experience managing multiple projects internally with engineering, product, and finance teams, as well as contract and pricing negotiations with external senior stakeholders, is essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, creative and strategic problem-solving capabilities, and experience in the restaurant or food and beverage technology industry are preferred.
