Account Manager, PitchBook
The Account Manager at PitchBook Data is responsible for managing core customer relationships, focusing on expansion, renewals, and customer satisfaction. This role involves building sales strategies, identifying growth opportunities within existing client accounts, and establishing lasting relationships with key decision-makers. The position is based in Tokyo Prefecture, Japan, and requires fluency in both Japanese and English.
Key responsibilities include achieving quarterly sales and retention goals, acting as the primary point of contact for a dedicated portfolio of clients, and conducting client demonstrations to showcase how the PitchBook platform addresses their needs. The Account Manager will collaborate with Customer Success Managers and Associates to strategize on account retention and growth opportunities, manage the sales pipeline, and oversee the end-to-end sales cycle. Utilizing tools like Catalyst, Salesforce, Tableau, and Gong, the role involves managing client relationships, monitoring usage data, and providing product feedback.
Candidates should have a bachelor's degree (preferred), at least 2 years of sales or account management experience, and proven ability to close complex deals. Fluency in Japanese and English is essential. Experience with CRM tools like Catalyst or Salesforce, excellent communication and presentation skills, and an interest in the private equity and venture capital marketplace are also desired. The role requires strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
