Advanced Manufacturing Engineer
Divergent is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to serve as the technical bridge between design and manufacturing teams, focusing on developing scalable, high-reliability automated, machining, and inspection processes. This role is pivotal in driving process improvements, solving complex production challenges, and eliminating part flow blockers to enhance production efficiency and scalability.
Key responsibilities include leading the development, execution, and continuous improvement of day-to-day operations for machining, automated assembly, anodizing, inspection, and cleaning work centers. The engineer will work directly with the production floor to resolve issues, implement best practices, and monitor work-in-progress flow to align with production targets. Additionally, the role involves collaborating on CNC programming, providing feedback on GD&T, tooling, and fixturing, and integrating new machines and equipment into production.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience, along with over 8 years of experience in the aerospace or defense industries. Hands-on experience with advanced manufacturing techniques, including additive manufacturing, robotics, coatings, and inspection/quality, is essential. Proficiency in CAD/CAM software, advanced knowledge of CNC machining, structure assembly, GD&T, tooling, and metrology, as well as strong problem-solving and communication skills, are required.
Divergent offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $91,800 to $168,300, depending on experience and level.
