Divergent Technologies is seeking a Metrology & Inspection Technician for the 2nd shift at their Torrance, California facility. This role is integral to the inspection team, ensuring that complex measurements and high-quality standards are maintained across production processes. The technician will deliver precise metrology data and inspection reports to confirm that parts comply with engineering specifications.

Key responsibilities include operating metrology scanners such as FARO, Romer, Creaform C‑Track, MetraSCAN, and GOM ScanBox to acquire geometrical scan data. The technician will process raw scan data, remove noise, and export files using comprehensive 3D metrology software like PolyWorks and Zeiss. Additional duties involve conducting receiving, in-process, and final inspections, utilizing engineering drawings, standard procedures, calibrated manual gauges/tools, and various inspection methods. Maintaining accurate records, including inspection results and non-conformance reports, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues are also essential aspects of the role.

Candidates should have 1 to 2 years of experience in a quality inspector role within aerospace, automotive, or other relevant production environments. A high school diploma is required, along with proficiency in computer literacy (Windows, Teams, Excel). The ability to read and understand engineering drawings, including knowledge of GD&T, is essential. Physical requirements include the ability to lift parts up to 50 lbs and operate scanning arms for extended periods. Strong verbal and written communication skills, a team-oriented mindset, high attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities are also necessary.

The compensation for this position varies based on the level assigned during the interview process. For TCH 01 level, the hourly rate ranges from $27.00 to $37.00; for TCH 02 level, from $31.00 to $43.00; and for TCH 03 level, from $36.00 to $50.00.
