Airframe Design & Analysis Engineer - (SJ2026GA)
Archer is seeking an Airframe Design & Analysis Engineer to join our team in San Jose, California. As a leading aerospace company, we are dedicated to developing all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft aimed at advancing sustainable air mobility. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the design and analysis of airframe structures, ensuring they meet stringent requirements and specifications.
In this position, you will support the development of major structural airframe assemblies from preliminary design through certification and manufacturing ramp-up. Your responsibilities will include applying a deep understanding of load paths, design best practices, and hand calculations to create robust structural configurations. Additionally, you will perform composite sandwich construction and adhesive paste bonding, assist in developing company standards for CAD models and drawings, and collaborate closely with design, stress, and materials and processes teams.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering. A minimum of three years of experience in the design, analysis, and manufacturing of composite aerostructures and lightweight structures is required. Proficiency in CAD software such as NX, Solidworks, Catia, or Creo, along with knowledge of FAA aircraft certification requirements for Part 23 aircraft, is essential. The role also requires up to 25% domestic and international travel.
Archer offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $164,320 to $172,536.
