Sr. Product Quality Engineer

Archer is seeking a Senior Product Quality Engineer to join our team in San Jose, California. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our airframe components, assemblies, and systems meet the highest standards of design, quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of our all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, advancing sustainable air mobility.

As a Senior Product Quality Engineer, you will collaborate closely with design and manufacturing engineers to facilitate seamless transitions from design to production. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing inspection plans, conducting first article inspections in compliance with SAE AS9102, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, you will support the development and rollout of Advanced Product Quality Planning techniques such as PFMEAs, control plans, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial) and have at least five years of experience in a manufacturing environment within the aerospace or other highly regulated industries. Proficiency in creating and approving first article inspections, experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and familiarity with CAD, PLM, and ERP software are essential. Knowledge of quality standards such as AS9100, AS9102, AS9103, AS9145, and AS6500 is also required.

At Archer, we offer a competitive base salary ranging from $124,000 to $160,000, determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
