Archer is seeking an Environmental Control Systems (ECS) Integration Engineer to join our team in San Jose, California. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and optimizing the ECS for our all-electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, ensuring superior thermal and mechanical performance. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the advancement of sustainable air mobility within a dynamic and innovative aerospace company.

As an ECS Integration Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include leading the design and optimization of environmental control systems tailored for eVTOL aircraft. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including mechanical, aerospace, electrical, and software engineers—to ensure seamless system integration and overall aircraft optimization. Additionally, you will develop system requirements, create verification procedures, and support certification documentation to meet aviation standards. Managing ECS-related development, integration, and verification activities between internal teams and external suppliers will also be a key aspect of your role.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field, along with 8–10 years of professional experience in mechanical or aerospace engineering. Expertise in environmental control systems or thermal management for aviation is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of mechanical and thermal systems design, coupled with system integration principles, is essential. An analytical mindset with a proven ability to address complex challenges, exceptional collaboration skills, clear and concise communication abilities, and proficiency in CAD software (e.g., NX) are also required.

Archer offers a competitive base salary ranging from $150,000 to $190,000, determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
