Analytics & Insights Specialist
The Analytics & Insights Specialist at WPP Media is responsible for translating business and communication objectives into actionable and measurable media frameworks for clients. This role involves analyzing trends and data to develop innovative and practical solutions that enhance client strategies. WPP Media is WPP's AI-driven media operating unit, bringing together media, data, and partnerships to deliver creative personalization at scale.
Key responsibilities include supporting the development and presentation of media strategies through channel evaluation and selection, providing target market insights, analyzing benchmarks and KPIs, and delivering post-campaign presentations with clear insights to inform future campaigns. The specialist will monitor competitive media and spending activities, offer ROI opportunities through modeling and integration of strategy and implementation learnings, and serve as the custodian of both quantitative and qualitative insights throughout the strategic planning process. Additional duties involve conducting media landscape updates, developing interactive dashboards, utilizing media measurement tools, analyzing digital metrics, managing online campaigns, and aggregating data from various platforms to identify optimization opportunities.
The ideal candidate should have at least 6 years of through-the-line media experience, with a minimum of 4 years in media analytics. Proficiency with online and social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and Google Plus is essential. Strong analytical and numeracy abilities, experience with industry-related research and statistical tools, and a solid understanding of SEO and digital marketing are required. The candidate should also possess up-to-date knowledge of tracking and tagging, attribution modeling, behavioral marketing, database modeling, retargeting, addressability, viewability, and brand safety. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask are crucial. A good understanding of both digital and traditional media channels, problem-solving capabilities, and proven experience using data to generate insights that influence business decisions are also important. Experience with MarTech, social analytics, reporting dashboard technology, and digital media, with a strategic focus on business objectives, is desirable.
