Application Support Engineer
Banyan Software is seeking an Application Support Engineer to join Innovatum, an enterprise software company specializing in solutions for the medical device, pharmaceutical, and life sciences industries. As part of the Banyan Software family, Innovatum serves a diverse clientele, including manufacturers of orthopedic implants, surgical robots, ventilators, and cancer therapies. The company is in an exciting phase, continuing to support and evolve its established enterprise platform while preparing to launch a new SaaS product in 2027.
In this role, the Application Support Engineer will be the primary technical resource for enterprise B2B customers, handling support cases and troubleshooting calls. Responsibilities include performing software installations, upgrades, and patching in customer environments, as well as writing and running SQL queries to validate data and identify anomalies. The engineer will also investigate issues using application logs, Windows Event Viewer, services, scheduled tasks, configuration settings, and basic networking checks.
Ideal candidates will have 3 to 6 years of experience in enterprise software support or technical support, with a strong foundation in troubleshooting and problem-solving. Proficiency in SQL, including writing and running queries, is essential. The role requires effective communication skills to manage customer expectations professionally, especially during high-urgency scenarios. Comfort engaging directly with enterprise customers and the ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team are also important.
The position is based in Atlanta, Georgia, with a hybrid work schedule of three days in the office and two days remote.
