Assistant Project Manager
The Assistant Project Manager at TransPerfect Legal plays a pivotal role in supporting the execution of litigation support projects within a dynamic team environment. TransPerfect Legal is a division of TransPerfect, a global leader in language services and technology solutions, dedicated to assisting legal professionals with comprehensive support services.
In this role, the Assistant Project Manager is responsible for performing analysis of files for translation, contacting vendors to delegate project tasks, distributing project tasks to team members, organizing files into their folder structure, generating purchase orders, entering time and expense information for Project Managers, logging project status as required, conducting quality checks based on instructed parameters, performing desktop publishing work as required, updating the Translation Memory from translated files, drafting letters or emails for the Project Manager to send out, and preparing FedEx/UPS packages for shipment.
Candidates should possess excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, and hold a four-year degree or higher. The role requires the ability to support multiple projects by keeping accurate and up-to-date project specifications, exceptional problem-solving skills, experience coordinating assignment of resources, and the ability to maintain professionalism under tight deadlines. Native fluency in another language is preferred.
