Spanish Quality Manager & Tester
The Spanish Quality Manager & Tester at TransPerfect Legal is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of Spanish-language translations. This role involves collaborating with project managers and linguists to deliver high-quality language services to clients. TransPerfect Legal, a division of TransPerfect, specializes in providing comprehensive legal translation and support services to law firms and corporate legal departments worldwide.
Key responsibilities include proofreading translated documents for grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors, formatting documents to mirror the original source, and providing feedback to project managers through quality scores. The role also involves suggesting stylistic changes to enhance the readability of translations, utilizing reference materials to maintain consistency across projects, creating client-specific glossaries, and operating computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools to improve efficiency. Additionally, the Quality Manager & Tester tracks project-specific non-conformances, assists in developing departmental processes, maintains relationships with translators and proofreaders, investigates client complaints, and performs linguistic testing in Spanish.
Candidates must possess a four-year degree or higher, preferably in a foreign language, and have native fluency in Spanish. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Spanish and English are essential. The role requires the ability to manage multiple projects with accurate and up-to-date project specifications, strong problem-solving skills, and the capacity to maintain professionalism under tight deadlines.
