Associate Applied AI Engineer (Madrid/Spain) - Orbit Program
Celonis is seeking an Associate Applied AI Engineer to join their Value Engineering team as part of the Orbit Graduate Program. This 12-month program is designed to fast-track careers in the SaaS industry through hands-on learning, mentorship, and a collaborative team culture. The role is based in Madrid, Spain, with an initial 12-month period before potential relocation to Tokyo, Japan, to support the Japanese market.
In this position, the Associate Applied AI Engineer will collaborate with customers to identify core business challenges and determine how Celonis Process Intelligence can address them. Responsibilities include executing proof projects to showcase the value of Celonis solutions, developing AI solutions tailored to customer needs—including machine learning and large language model-based solutions—and delivering presentations to senior executives to drive investment decisions. The role also involves building strong relationships with customers, sharing insights with internal product and engineering teams, and creating reusable collateral and best practices within the Global Value Engineering Center of Excellence.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's or master's degree in fields such as Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, AI/ML, or Mathematics, along with valuable work or internship experience. A passion for technology, data, and AI is essential, as well as basic knowledge or hands-on experience in SQL and/or Python. Fluency in both English and Japanese is required, and candidates must be willing to travel to Japan to meet clients in person.
