Associate Director, Business Development, Maritime (Copperhead)
Anduril Industries is seeking an Associate Director of Business Development for its Maritime Division, focusing on the Copperhead Autonomous Undersea Vehicle (AUV) program. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to deliver high-speed, affordable AUVs to both commercial and defense sectors. The successful candidate will collaborate with key operational customers to field the Copperhead family in high volumes, shape hardware product roadmaps, and lead capture campaigns to secure contracts and deliver capabilities.
Key responsibilities include generating and capturing business opportunities by identifying and pursuing future prospects within the Undersea Reconnaissance and Strike portfolio. The role requires a deep understanding of the existing and prospective client base, current and planned programmatic and technical roadmaps, and the evolving competitive landscape. Additionally, the Associate Director will manage continuous engagements with clients, support proposal development, and collaborate with adjacent business lines and product engineers to identify opportunities for business growth with current clients.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in commercial or Department of Defense (DoD) capture and sales, with a proven track record of building and executing successful business capture strategies, particularly with the U.S. Navy. A strong understanding of defense acquisitions and experience in developing and deploying underwater vehicles, torpedoes, and high-speed systems are essential. Excellent writing and communication skills, along with the ability to brief senior executives and customers, are also required. A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, systems engineering, physics, robotics, or computer science is necessary, along with an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
The position offers a competitive salary range of $166,000 to $220,000 annually, along with highly competitive equity grants.
