Associate Director, Corporate Strategy & Competitive Intelligence
The Associate Director of Corporate Strategy & Competitive Intelligence at Legend Biotech will serve as a strategic thought partner, providing actionable insights to inform decision-making across research and development, commercial, and corporate strategy functions. This role is integral to the Commercial team based in Somerset, New Jersey, and contributes to the company's mission of developing advanced cell therapies for life-threatening diseases.
Key responsibilities include leading competitive intelligence activities across assigned therapeutic areas, platforms, and programs, delivering high-quality insights to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders. The role involves monitoring competitors' pipelines, clinical data, regulatory actions, collaborations, and market events to identify emerging threats and opportunities. Additionally, the Associate Director will conduct value stream mapping to identify inefficiencies, develop and implement lean transformation strategies, and establish key performance indicators to track continuous improvement efforts.
The ideal candidate will possess an advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, or Master's in life sciences, business, or related field) and have over five years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech competitive intelligence, strategy, consulting, or market research. Strong scientific and clinical acumen in relevant therapeutic areas, particularly hematology, oncology, or immunology, is preferred. Proficiency in coding languages such as R and Python, as well as experience with competitive intelligence tools and databases, is required. Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills are essential.
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $163,468 to $214,551 USD annually, with actual compensation varying based on experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location. Performance-based bonuses and equity are available to employees in eligible roles.
