Associate
Keller Postman is seeking a dedicated Associate to join our team, focusing on mass tort litigation. This role involves collaborating with experienced trial lawyers on impactful cases that significantly affect our clients' lives. The position offers substantial hands-on responsibility and exposure to complex litigation strategies, contributing to large-scale proceedings from initial case development through trial.
Key responsibilities include evaluating and developing claims for injured clients through factual and legal analysis, reviewing and synthesizing medical records and case files, drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery documents, managing written discovery and large-scale document reviews, taking and defending depositions, communicating directly with clients, collaborating with co-counsel in multidistrict proceedings, assisting with trial preparation, and attending hearings and trials as needed.
Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school, an active U.S. bar license in good standing (preferably in Illinois, D.C., or Florida), and 3–5 years of experience in complex litigation. Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment are essential.
Preferred qualifications include experience in mass torts, product liability, or personal injury litigation, familiarity with multidistrict litigation (MDL) or class actions, experience reviewing medical records, and exposure to expert witness development and coordination.
