Senior Arbitration Paralegal
Keller Postman is seeking a Senior Arbitration Paralegal to support its expanding practice in high-volume, complex arbitration proceedings. This role involves managing all phases of arbitration matters, from pre-filing through hearings and post-award administration, often across thousands of individual claims. The position is based in Chicago, Washington, D.C., or Coral Gables, Florida, and offers a compensation range of $60 to $90 per hour, plus a year-end discretionary bonus and benefits.
Key responsibilities include coordinating and assigning tasks to paralegals and legal assistants across large arbitration dockets, ensuring timely and accurate execution of filings and deadlines. The Senior Arbitration Paralegal will also assist with training and development of legal support staff, particularly on arbitration-specific processes and workflows. Managing all phases of arbitration matters, including demand preparation and filing, arbitrator selection, case administration, discovery coordination, hearing preparation, and post-award processes, is a critical aspect of this role.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of arbitration procedures, rules, and forums, including mass arbitration processes. Experience managing high-volume case dockets or large-scale, multi-claim matters is essential. Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines across numerous matters, are required. Demonstrated proficiency in legal writing, document preparation, and citation practices is also necessary. Additionally, the ability to coach, mentor, and develop junior team members is highly valued.
