Associate Manager, QA Shop Floor
The Associate Manager, QA Shop Floor at Legend Biotech is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance processes during the production of personalized cell therapies in a sterile GMP environment. This role involves supervising QA shop floor personnel and collaborating with manufacturing teams to address and resolve production issues. Key responsibilities include reading, interpreting, and revising standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions. The role requires developing positive relationships with various departments such as Quality Control, Information Technology, Maintenance, Manufacturing, and Technical Operations. The Associate Manager is expected to make independent GMP decisions, resolve problems using quality systems, lead continuous improvement projects, and strive to reduce non-conformances by proactively driving compliance. Additionally, the position involves generating shift schedules to ensure efficient coverage for all operational needs and supporting internal and external audits.
The position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline, along with a minimum of one year of relevant work experience in the biological or pharmaceutical industry. Experience in a Quality Control setting and proficiency in aseptic techniques within biosafety cabinets are preferred. Knowledge of cGMP regulations, FDA/EU guidance related to cell-based product manufacturing, and Good Tissue Practices is essential. Candidates must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, be highly organized, and capable of working in a team environment with a positive attitude under some supervision. The role requires flexibility to accommodate shift schedules, including routine weekend and evening work, as well as unplanned overtime.
The base pay range for this position is between $75,972 and $99,713 USD annually. Additional compensation may include performance-based bonuses and/or equity for eligible roles.
