Backend Developer
WPP Media is seeking a Backend Developer to join our dynamic team in Bangalore, Gurgaon, or Hyderabad, India. As a key member of our technology division, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of robust backend systems that power our AI-driven media operations. This role offers an opportunity to work within a collaborative environment focused on delivering creative personalization at scale.
In this position, you will design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices, ensuring seamless integration with various data sources and front-end applications. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include developing data processing pipelines, implementing cloud-based solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support our media operations. Additionally, you will be involved in optimizing database performance and ensuring the scalability of our backend services.
The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience as a Backend Software Developer, with proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, Go, or Node.js, with a preference for Python. Strong experience with GCP services like Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, and BigQuery is essential. A solid understanding of both relational and NoSQL databases, experience with data pipeline tools, and familiarity with version control systems are also required. Basic knowledge of machine learning concepts and their integration into backend systems will be advantageous.
