Billing and Collections - Commercial Assistant - Warsaw Hub
The Commercial Assistant role is situated within Clifford Chance's Warsaw Hub, a key component of the firm's global finance team. This position focuses on enhancing the efficiency of the order-to-cash cycle, thereby reducing lock-up and supporting the firm's financial operations. Key responsibilities include supporting the Matter Inception process to ensure compliance with client agreements, monitoring and obtaining necessary billing information, and maintaining fee-earner charge-out rates. The role also involves following up on overdue invoices by sending reminders and managing their status, as well as assisting in complex bill amendments and ensuring accurate billing dispatch to facilitate effective collection activities.
Candidates should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and communicate confidently at all levels. Strong organizational skills and a quick understanding of new concepts are essential. A flexible, solution-focused approach, a proactive attitude, and a willingness to learn are highly valued. Attention to detail, commitment, and high levels of accuracy and diligence are also important.
Fluency in English and French is required, with Polish language skills considered desirable but not essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, and an affinity for IT systems are necessary. A good understanding of financial processes underpinning order-to-cash activities is expected. A bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Economics is preferable, and experience in OTC or finance roles would be advantageous.
