Business Development and Partnerships Lead, LATAM
Duolingo is seeking a Business Development and Partnerships Lead for the LATAM region, with a particular focus on Mexico and Brazil. The primary responsibilities include managing existing partnerships and pipelines while identifying and developing new opportunities. The role involves building data-driven business cases to establish strategic partnerships that drive user growth, enhance brand awareness, and support monetization efforts, including brand licensing partnerships. Collaboration with marketing, design, product, and engineering teams across the U.S. and globally is essential.
Candidates should possess over seven years of business development experience, particularly in digital consumer technology sectors. Experience in consulting, banking, or business development is required, along with a proven track record in developing and implementing partnerships from inception to execution. A deep understanding of the LATAM market dynamics, proficiency in Spanish and English, and the ability to travel internationally frequently are also necessary.
Exceptional candidates may have experience with mobile apps and subscription-based services, working proficiency in Portuguese, and an MBA or equivalent experience. A passion for making high-quality language learning accessible to everyone is highly valued.
