Business Development Lead/Manager, Launch
Rocket Lab is seeking a Business Development Lead/Manager to join their team in Long Beach, CA. This role focuses on capturing government revenue through business development and sales, supporting the company's growth and operations. The position involves managing and expanding key government customer accounts related to Electron and Neutron launch vehicles, as well as various launch services.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing proposal plans, analyzing RFPs, and building compliance matrices. The role requires executing U.S. Government Launch Services strategy, supporting proposal development, and coordinating mission performance requirements with technical teams. Additionally, the individual will work with the marketing team to strategize for aerospace industry conferences and networking events, identify and capture new government customer accounts, and maintain up-to-date government satellite and launch market analysis.
Candidates for the Business Development Lead position should have a bachelor's degree in engineering or business, U.S. citizenship, the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, and at least 5 years of experience in the aerospace industry. Familiarity with proposal development, business capture, and an understanding of global government space markets are essential. The role requires the ability to travel up to 60%, both domestically and internationally.
Rocket Lab offers a competitive base salary ranging from $105,000 to $180,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
