Business Development Manager - Australia
Lighthouse is seeking a Business Development Manager to spearhead our expansion in the Australian market. This role involves identifying and securing new business opportunities, managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation, and acting as a consultant to clients to tailor proposals that align with their needs and our commercial objectives. The successful candidate will report to the Regional Sales Director and collaborate closely with our Product Development team to relay market feedback.
Key responsibilities include sourcing potential clients through cold calling, email campaigns, and networking within industry groups. The role requires managing inbound inquiries, conducting product demonstrations, preparing proposals, and negotiating contracts to balance client value with company profit margins. Additionally, the Business Development Manager will attend industry conferences, organize regional roadshows, and contribute to refining sales strategies and processes.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in business development, preferably within the hospitality tech or SaaS sectors, with a strong track record of meeting sales targets. Essential skills include lead generation, pipeline management, delivering product presentations, and strong negotiation abilities. Fluency in English is required, with additional Asian languages considered a plus. A self-starter attitude, proficiency with CRM tools like Salesforce, and a keen interest in leveraging automation and AI to enhance sales processes are also desirable.
