Business Development Manager - Malaysia
Lighthouse is seeking a Business Development Manager to spearhead our expansion in the Malaysian market. This role involves identifying and securing new business opportunities, managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiations, and acting as a consultant to clients to meet their needs while supporting Lighthouse’s commercial objectives. The successful candidate will report to the Regional Sales Director and collaborate closely with our Product Development team to provide market feedback.
Key responsibilities include sourcing potential client opportunities through cold calling, email campaigns, and networking within industry groups across Malaysia. The role requires managing the end-to-end sales process, conducting product demonstrations, preparing tailored proposals, and negotiating contracts that balance client value with company goals. Additionally, the Business Development Manager will attend industry conferences, organize regional roadshows, and identify upselling opportunities within the existing client base.
The ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma in a relevant field such as Hospitality, Business, Communication, or Economics, or equivalent professional experience. A minimum of five years in sales or business development, preferably in hospitality tech or SaaS, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets is required. Fluency in English and Malay is essential, and proficiency in other Asian languages is advantageous. Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tools is preferred.
