Business Development Rep Associate
The Business Development Representative Associate at Square is a pivotal role within our Sales Development organization, focusing on expanding our merchant base. This position involves proactive outreach to potential sellers, emphasizing the value of Square's comprehensive ecosystem. As part of the Restaurant or Generalist team, the associate will play a crucial role in identifying and engaging new business opportunities.
Key responsibilities include managing a diverse pipeline of businesses, prioritizing outreach to accelerate sales cycles, and conducting outreach through cold calling, emailing, and social selling. The associate will employ a solutions-based sales approach to identify business challenges and demonstrate how Square's products can address these needs. Additionally, the role involves documenting and tracking qualified opportunities to pass onto the Account Executive team, consistently meeting and exceeding monthly quotas.
Candidates should possess a desire to grow their career in sales, a BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience, and personal leadership qualities such as authenticity, teamwork, energy, and curiosity. Enthusiasm for developing sales skills through cold calling and comfort operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment are essential. Residence within 50 miles of the posted office location is required.
Compensation for this role varies by location, with annual salaries ranging from $63,700 to $79,768, including target variable compensation.
