The Business Development Representative (BDR) at Braze plays a pivotal role in driving the company's growth by identifying and engaging potential clients. As part of the Business Development team, BDRs are at the forefront of understanding and assisting prospective customers in enhancing their customer engagement strategies. Braze is a leading customer engagement platform that empowers brands to deliver exceptional experiences, and the BDR team is instrumental in expanding its client base.

Key responsibilities include identifying target accounts, developing and executing email and phone campaigns, engaging with C-suite prospects, demonstrating the value of Braze's solutions, and qualifying early-stage deals. BDRs collaborate closely with Account Executives to build account strategies, conduct discovery calls, meet with key stakeholders, create personalized outreach sequences, and attend events to generate new leads. The ultimate goal is to establish high-quality relationships that lead to new business opportunities.

Candidates should possess adaptability, action orientation, strong research skills, creativity, problem-solving abilities, intellectual curiosity, self-awareness, intrinsic motivation, organizational skills, and tenacity. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for engaging with prospects and internal teams. While prior experience in sales outreach is beneficial, Braze provides comprehensive training to equip BDRs for success.

Braze offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary ranging from $42,600 to $55,000 per year, with On Target Earnings (OTE) between $71,000 and $92,000 annually, which includes bonuses or commissions. Additional benefits encompass equity grants, retirement and employee stock purchase plans, flexible paid time off, comprehensive health benefits covering medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, family services such as fertility benefits and equal paid parental leave, professional development opportunities, and a curated in-office experience designed to foster community and innovation.

Braze fosters a collaborative, transparent, and dynamic culture recognized as a Great Place to Work®. The company emphasizes high standards, teamwork, and work-life harmony, providing employees with opportunities to contribute meaningfully and grow professionally. With a commitment to diversity and inclusion, Braze offers a supportive environment where individuals can thrive and make a significant impact.
