Chief of Staff - Technology
The Chief of Staff - Technology at PitchBook Data is a strategic leadership role within the Product and Engineering team, reporting directly to the Executive Vice President of Technology & Engineering. This position is pivotal in translating the company's technology strategy into actionable plans, ensuring alignment across a global technology organization comprising over 500 employees. The role is based in Seattle, Washington, and requires full-time, on-site presence.
Key responsibilities include serving as a thought partner to the EVP, shaping priorities, and maintaining a transparent risk and decision log. The Chief of Staff will lead annual and quarterly planning, ensuring roadmaps across Technology & Engineering functions are cohesive and aligned with company objectives. Additionally, the role involves running the technical RFC process, driving design-document hygiene, and overseeing platform migrations and critical technical partnerships.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, along with over 12 years of experience in technology roles such as Engineering, Architecture, or Product/Technical Program Management. Experience operating at senior levels within a large technology organization is essential. Strong communication and influencing skills, as well as hands-on familiarity with cloud platforms, data platforms, and observability tools, are also required.
Compensation for this role includes an annual base salary ranging from $205,000 to $275,000, with a target annual bonus percentage of 20%.
