The CNC Machinist at Divergent is a highly skilled professional responsible for overseeing advanced machining processes and delivering precision-manufactured components for industries such as automotive, aerospace, and advanced manufacturing. This role involves setting up and operating complex CNC equipment, troubleshooting challenging machining issues, and collaborating with engineering teams to optimize designs for manufacturability.

Key responsibilities include setting up and operating advanced CNC equipment, including multi-axis mills (3-axis, 3+2, and 5-axis), to produce high-precision components. The machinist will interpret complex engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles to ensure components meet stringent quality and dimensional standards. Additionally, they will troubleshoot and resolve machining challenges, including tool wear, fixture alignment, and programming errors.

Required qualifications include proficiency in Siemens and Heidenhain controllers, a strong understanding of GD&T and its application in precision manufacturing, and proven ability to troubleshoot and optimize machining processes. Experience in the creation and implementation of dynamic work offsets for complex setups is also essential.

Compensation for this role is based on the level of the job, with pay ranges as follows: Technician / T03: $47.00 - $51.00 per hour, Lead Technician / T04: $52.00 - $60.00 per hour, and Senior Technician / T05: $60.00 - $69.00 per hour.
