CNC Programmer
Rocket Lab is seeking a CNC Programmer to join our Composite Machining team in Warkworth, New Zealand. In this role, you will transform CAD models into precision aerospace components that power our launch vehicles, Space Systems, and innovative R&D projects. Collaborating with top engineers, you'll contribute to flight-critical hardware that drives innovation and pushes the boundaries of space exploration.
As a CNC Programmer, your primary responsibilities will include machining parts according to drawing specifications, operating and maintaining machinery, and developing toolpath NC files using Mastercam. You'll design and create holding fixtures, perform quality checks using GD&T standards, and manage inventory of spares and consumables to ensure efficient operations.
The ideal candidate will have a relevant trade qualification and at least 8 years of industry experience. Proven expertise in CNC machining and CAM programming with Mastercam is essential, along with strong knowledge of GD&T and measurement instruments. Self-sufficiency in low-run job-shop machining, precision mechanical assembly, and excellent communication skills are also required.
