Commercial Account Manager
The Commercial Account Manager at RapidRatings serves as the primary liaison for mid-market client accounts, overseeing the entire client lifecycle from onboarding to renewal. This role combines commercial responsibilities with client success initiatives, aiming to drive retention, identify and close expansion opportunities, and ensure clients derive maximum value from the platform. The position is based in New York, NY, with an expectation of two days per week in the office.
Key responsibilities include managing a portfolio of over 50 client accounts, handling renewal cycles with pricing discussions and contract negotiations, and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling. The role also involves conducting Executive Business Reviews to assess program health, driving platform adoption through tailored engagement plans, and monitoring client health indicators to proactively address potential churn risks. Day-to-day tasks encompass client communications via calls, emails, and meetings, as well as collaboration with internal teams to resolve client issues and enhance satisfaction.
Candidates should possess 3 to 5 years of experience in account management and client success roles, preferably within B2B SaaS, financial services, or risk management sectors. Essential skills include the ability to manage a high-volume book of business while maintaining strong client satisfaction and retention rates, experience in handling commercial outcomes such as renewals and upsells, and strong relationship-building capabilities with stakeholders at various levels. Proficiency with CRM platforms like Salesforce, excellent communication skills, and a data-driven approach to account management are also required.
